St Peter's Seminary, Cardross

St Peter's Cardross was built to serve as a Roman Catholic Seminary capable of training up to 100 novice priests at any given time.

St Peter's closed as a seminary in 1980, just fourteen years after it opened, and reopened as a drug rehabilitation centre.

The whole site was abandoned, vandalised on multiple occasions and later surrounded with a higher fence. In 1995, a fire so badly damaged Kilmahew House that it was deemed too unsafe to stand and was demolished.
